SportIslington and Islington School Sports Association (ISSA) Inaugural award ceremony success
Sportislington held its 1st awards ceremony in conjunction with the Islington School Sports Association at Islington Town Hall on Thursday 1st July. The night was a great success with over 150 young people and adults in attendance. More information and click here.
‘Best Practice’ example application forms to help you apply for our grant funding
The SportIslington committee have produced some example application forms to allow applicants to see the level of detail that we require when choosing to award funding. These ‘Best Practice’ completed application forms can be found in the ‘Our Funds’ section of the website, where you will need to log in to view them.
SportIslington join forces with a local charity to offer a grant of £2000 to one lucky sports star.
SportIslington have joined forces with the Joanna Brown Trust to offer this unique opportunity to one local resident. Joanna, a local resident who tragically died in 2008 aged 30, was an avid sportswoman who appreciated the benefits of an active lifestyle and team sport. Each applicant who applies to Sport Islington over the year, has the opportunity to put themselves forward for this award. A shortlist is drawn up by the SportIslington Committee in September each year and is forwarded on to the Joanna Brown Trust for a final decision.
