On our website you will find information about sport in the borough, updated information on courses and training and details of the Sport Islington grant programme.

If you become a member you will be able to apply for grant funding for yourself or your sports club, you will also receive priority information on training courses and events in Islington .

Becoming a member online is easy all you need to do is click on the register tab on the left side of this page and log in with the automated information that is sent to your email account.

SportIslington join forces with a local charity to offer a new grant of £2000 to one lucky sports star.

SportIslington have just awarded it’s largest ever grant of £2000 to Aasha Kimpton. The young gymnast from Holloway was rewarded for her recent hard work and exceptional results at regional level. SportIslington Joined forces with the Joanna Brown Trust to offer this unique opportunity to one local resident. Joanna, a local resident who tragically died last summer aged 30, was an avid sportswoman who appreciated the benefits of an active lifestyle and team sport. SportIslington now offering member’s the chance to attend a variety of courses for £5

SportIslington have joined forces with the Access to Sports Project to offer our members the chance to attend a number of popular courses for the amazing price of £5. Members who are involved with club/sports projects in Islington will be able to book courses including; SCUK Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop, Running Sports Funding for your Sports Club and A Club For All Workshops.  The first recipients of our new Quality mark award are decided

SportIslington recently awarded the new ‘Quality Mark’ award to two sports clubs in Islington. The two sports clubs applied to SportIslington for the new £1000 grant that rewards clubs who have achieved the Clubmark standard or equivilant. Anaconda Swimming Club and Islington Boat Club were both succesful with their applications to SportIslington. For further information on how to apply for this new grant, please check out the frequently asked questions section on the left side of this page.

SportIslington club directory refresh

SportIslington are working as a trailblazer with ProActive Central London on a new sports club directory. The new directory will be in place by January 2010 and will offer users the opportunity to search for sports clubs and other activities across london. Watch this space!
