Sport Islington

The Sport Islington awards ceremony at the Islington Town was a huge success. Sport Islington presented five awards to extremely grateful recipients.         

Ron Hagland (Islington ABC) received our Community Volunteer award for all of his hard work over the years with the club. Jerry Odlin (Chairman of Heathside AC) picked up the award for Sports Club of the year for their outreach work with Islington schools and young people. The Elfrida Sports Project, received our commity Organisation of the year award for their excellent work with inclusive sports activities for adults. Brandon Drew recieved our Individual Sportsman of the year award for his Tennis achievements over the last year and Morgan Mockler received our Individual Sportswoman of the year award for her swimming achievements over the last year. All of our winners also received £100 or £200 bursaries towards their sports. The Sport Islington committee would like to congratulate them all on their hard work and looks forward to a bigger and better awards ceremony in 2011.
