Child Protection
Islington Safeguarding Children Board (ISCB) is a multi-agency body responsible for ensuring that agencies work well together to safeguard and protect children and young people from harm and improve outcomes for children and young people.
In conjunction with local sports organisations, clubs and Islington's Environment and Regeneration Department we have formed a Sports Safeguarding Children Network. This network has produced a sample Safeguarding / Child Protection Policy for Sports Clubs, an information leaflet for parents choosing a club for their children and delivers safeguarding / child protection training to sports clubs.
ISCB has also produced Good and Safer Recruitment Guidelines which sports clubs can use when recruiting staff and volunteers.
