ABOUT THE GLL SPORT FOUNDATION

The GLL Sport Foundation is one of the leading independent supporters of young sporting talent in the UK; having currently provided over 6500 athlete award bursaries, totalling over £3.8million of support.

We are committed to assist young sporting talent achieve their full potential. 

• GLL with the support of our partners and sponsors have created one of the largest athlete support programmes in the UK

• The foundation is committed to assist young sporting talent achieve their full potential

• The foundation is dedicated to support and develop the next generation of athletes. Over 75% of awards are provided to athletes under the age of 21, and over 90% of athletes receive no other funding support

FOR ATHLETE INFORMATION

WHAT WE PROVIDE ATHLETES WITH

• Financial training grants of up to £1,250

• Training memberships enabling wider venue access for athlete training programmes across GLL and partner operated venues

• Support opportunities targeted towards sports science, performance sport and coaching and employment

HOW TO APPLY

• Athletes apply online –

• Awards are provided annually from April – April, with the application period open from December – February

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

• Athletes competing within Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic and Special Olympic sporting disciplines

• Athletes competing from a regional to Olympic and Paralympic levels

• Athletes that live or are educated where GLL and partners operate venues; or affiliated to a sports club that has a training base at a GLL and partner operated venue
