Cripplegate Foundation is a local, independent charity. Cripplegate operate five grant funds that predominantly target the south of the borough and parts of the City of London.  www.cripplegate.org

Cash 4 Clubs Offers all sports clubs in the UK the chance to win grants ranging from £250 to £1000. It is a simple scheme aimed at giving community clubs a helping hand and provide the opportunity to raise the money they need to invest in their club www.cash-4-clubs.com

Community Grants – Applications open! Do you know a local community group or project that deserves funding? Islington’s community groups run all sorts or worthwhile activities, including things to do for younger or older people, summer festivals and arts and sports projects. However, during difficult economic times, community groups can struggle to find the funds to provide these valuable services. You can help by nominating a group or project for a community grant form one of Islington’s Local Area Committees. This year the four committees will each have £80,000 to spend. The Arsenal regeneration scheme is a small grant fund that is administered by Newlon Housing Trust, it is aimed at community, voluntary or educational organisation providing activities or services for the benefit of residents and businesses in Highbury East, Highbury West and Holloway wards, for further information please follow this link or visit the IVAC website directly at www.ivac.org.uk

The Youth Opportunity Fund Has up to £60,000 in Islington available to help young people make their own educational projects happen and decide how money should be spent on positive activities in their area. This could be a one-off musical event, a two-week sports project, or a science project lasting six months. The only restrictions are that applications must be made by young people (aged 13-19) who are living or studying in Islington. The Jack Petchy Foundation focuses on projects and programmes that benefit 11-25 year olds. The Foundation was established by the successful East London entrepreneur, Jack Petchey, in 1999. The main area of operation are the London boroughs and Essex. www.jackpetchyfoundation.org.uk .

The Awards for All programme provide lottery grants of between £300 and £10,000 for people to take part in art, sport, heritage and community activities. www.awardsforall.org.uk/

Playsport London offer grant’s to a maximum of £1000, the purpose of the campaign is to get people engaged with sport and encourage people to take part in something they find fun, groups and clubs can apply to put on a programme of activity that is open to the public and free of charge over the summer or winter. UnLtd is a charity which supports social entrepreneurs – people with vision, drive, commitment and passion who want to change the world for the better. They do this by providing a complete package of funding and support, to help individuals make their ideas a reality. The Big Challenge 2 has arrived! If you are aged 16 to 25, you have the chance to apply for part of the £60,000 prize fund to tackle this year’s challenge. The theme was chosen by the Big Challenge Youth Leadership Team, who worked together to agree on a theme that they feel is meaningful to young people across the UK. You can apply on your own or in a group with other young people and applications can be submitted in a number of formats. The Wells Sports Foundation are about to open a new community sports club grant that is seeking to increase and sustain participation in sport. Clubs should have obtained or be working towards obtaining Clubmark status (or National Governing Body equivalent). Clubs shouls have already raised a proportion of the funds to go towards the project they are proposing and they should have at least one effective link to a local school. for more information visit there website here.
