‘Inclusive and Active’ Club Support Scheme – IACS

IACS is a support package, formulated by London Sports Forum for Disabled People, to help mainstream clubs become more inclusive to disabled people.

IACS incorporates three levels with five areas of development including;
• Participation and Resources
• Communication and Consultation
• Policy and Procedures
• Recruitment and Staff Training
• Accessibility and Facilities

Key outcomes of IACS will include;
• Better club links with disabled members, participants and community groups
• Clubs auditing their own practices
• Clubs using London Sports Forum for Disabled People for support

IACS does not stipulate set time scales so clubs can work through the recommendations at an achievable pace.  By using this resource clubs will become a welcoming place for disabled people and, by ensuring everyone can take part in a sport or activity of their choice, clubs will potentially increase their membership.
